Parents Education Corner: Relax and Reconnect

I hope the month of July allows you the opportunity to relax, reconnect and create memories with your families and friends. I enjoy the sounds of my young adults being home from college. I chuckle at the fact that at dinner time, they are wondering what’s for dinner, like they can’t fix something themselves. Their memories of home are the day to day joys they reflect on and appreciate a little more by going away from home. Regardless of how you spend your July, summertime is like a family reunion to exhale a little and enjoy some long needed and well deserved downtime.

If you take a weekend or an evening to just relax and do nothing with your kids.

Kudos to you!

To the kids who may be working this summer, taking a summer school class or working on those college essays.

Kudos to you!

To the kids that go to tutoring to fill the academic gaps, attend academic camps or camps that interest you.

Kudos to you!

Are you spending quality time with family and friends? Volunteering? Traveling? Doing nothing?

Kudos to you!

Parents, we all deserve a moment to relax and enjoy the time with our children. Time goes so fast, so hold on to it now while they are home and before the school supply commercials begin! 🙂

“And so with the sunshine and the great bursts of leaves growing on the trees, just as things grow in fast movies, I had that familiar conviction that life was beginning over again with the summer.”

― F. Scott Fitzgerald
