Kids Corner: Winter Popsicle Snowman Ornament Craft

Materials

• Popsicle sticks

• White paint

• Orange paint or marker for the nose

• Small buttons or black construction paper hat

• Red felt or ribbon for the scarf

• Googly eyes

• Glue or hot glue

• Paintbrush

• White yarn for hanging

Directions

1. Paint one side of the popsicle sticks white. Let them dry completely, then apply a second coat. Once dry, flip them over and repeat on the other side.

2. Glue the googly eyes about 1 inch from the top of the popsicle stick.

3. Cut the white yarn to about 10 inches long.

4. Glue the white yarn to the top of the popsicle stick to create a hanger.

5. Cut a long hat shape from black construction paper.

6. Glue the hat on top of the white yarn.

7. Cut a scarf from the red felt, about 1 inch by 6 inches.

8. Glue the scarf onto the snowman in an X shape.

9. Cut or draw a small triangle for the nose.

10. Add buttons if desired.
